Description:
Lockheed Martin's Computer Incident Response Team (LM-CIRT) is hiring an Associate Cyber Intel Analyst within its Global Defense and Intelligence mission area, a globally dispersed team of intelligence analysts with the mission of defending the enterprise's computing assets and cutting edge intellectual property. LM-CIRT consists of a geographically dispersed global workforce serving mission excellence from three strategically located Security Intelligence Centers (SICs). The members of LM-CIRT include a combination of analysts and technologists, with varying backgrounds and specialties, practicing the core tenets of Intelligence Driven Defense (IDD). LM-CIRT's mission is governed by principles including IDD, advanced counter measures, agile development of custom technologies, and cross industry collaboration.What You Will Be Doing:
In this role, you will be an integral part of LM-CIRT and defending the enterprise against network intrusion activity originating from criminal and nation-state adversaries. You will support effective execution of operational workflows, performing baseline analysis and contributing to the wider team goals on an operational basis. Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited) to the following:- Computer network defense and incident response
- Documentation of analysis at an operational level
- Creation and maintenance of resilient detections and countermeasures
- Consistent and effective communication across the team
- Priority and workload management with established accountability to deliverables
Who You Are:
A junior professional with a solid grounding in cyber security fundamentals and a strong understanding of defensive cyber operations and technologies. You are able to think critically about complex cyber‑intelligence challenges. Experience in applying practical intelligence‑collection methods, crafting tailored analytical approaches, and extracting actionable insights from extensive data sets is considered a distinct advantage.Further Information About This Opportunity:
This is a hybrid role with ~50% onsite work in Rockville MD. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance is required.Basic Qualifications:
- Experience or familiarity with security log analysis, memory forensics, and/or detection engineering
- Knowledge or familiarity with computer network environments
- Knowledge or familiarity with computer network defense tools (SIEM, EDR, etc), processes, and tradecraft
- Critical thinking and problem solving
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance
Desired Skills:
- Demonstrated experience with in-depth security log analysis
- Experience with Memory forensics
- Experience with Reverse engineering
- Experience with Coding (python, C/C++, etc)
- Experience with Detection engineering
- Experience with Unix/Bash environments
- Experience with common network protocols and principles (TCP/IP/DNS/SMB/etc.)
- Unix/Linux experience and command line proficiency

The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.Work Schedules:

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $68,000 - $119,830. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.Benefits offered:
