Job Description

Executive Protection Intelligence /OSINT Analyst - Austin, Texas Emergent Risk International (ERI) is seeking to hire a full-time Executive Protection Intelligence /OSINT Analyst to support the executive protection team, embedded with one of our multinational technology clients. Candidates for this early career role will have 2-3+ years' experience in Protective Intelligence and working to support an EP team, an analytical and data-driven mindset, desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced and highly collaborative environment with a focus on protective intelligence, OSINT and social media monitoring. Successful candidates will work Monday-Friday onsite in the client's office based in Austin, Texas.

What We're Looking For:
We are seeking an early career but experienced Executive Protection Intelligence/OSINT Analyst with expertise in protective intelligence and open-source intelligence (OSINT) and investigations to support and work closely and collaboratively with an executive protection team. This role will focus on proactive social media and OSINT monitoring and threat detection, risk assessment, and intelligence reporting to safeguard client C Suite personnel. The ideal candidate will combine advanced OSINT tradecraft with strong analytical, briefing, and communication skills to inform high-level decision-making and enhance protective strategies. This analyst will conduct OSINT research and investigations, monitor social media and dark/deep web threats, research local, regional and national databases and write travel, location/venue and event risk assessments and weekly
OSINT/SOCMINT
reports. Experience in protective intelligence, geopolitical risk, and familiarity with North America, Europe and Asia open-source environments required. Primary Responsibilities
  • Conduct multi-source OSINT collection and analysis to assess threats directed at client's senior level executives including social media as well as deep/dark web sources.
  • Deliver real-time reporting and tracking of persons of interest, events and incidents including potentially violent groups targeting client.
  • Deliver venue, event and travel risk assessments relevant to senior executives.
  • Serve as a key point of contact and conduit for threat escalation and information sharing between executive protection team and GSOC.
  • Benchmark and collaborate closely with executive protection team.
  • Develop detailed knowledge of client risk exposure and tailor intelligence reporting accordingly.
  • Interpret and visualize high-quality data to identify trends and contextualize intelligence findings.
  • Deliver concise intelligence products, including threat assessments, situation reports, and executive briefings, for senior leadership.
  • Maintain awareness of broader risk factors affecting the business, including financial, legal, geopolitical and reputational.
  • Provide client-focused service with availability for incident support outside of normal hours during crisis situations.
  • Build and maintain internal and external relationships to enable effective information flow.
  • Monitor emerging regulatory, social, and political trends affecting workforce safety. Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in intelligence, international business, journalism, law enforcement, or related field.
  • Minimum 2-3+ years of experience in protective intelligence and investigations (private or public sector), demonstrating increasing responsibilities.
  • Proven experience conducting POI investigations, investigative analysis, and local/regional/national government database and information gathering intelligence.
  • Proven experience collaborating and supporting closely an executive protection team.
  • Deep expertise in OSINT including social media and dark web monitoring.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Liferaft, Dataminr, Resolver, International SOS, Everstream, Travel Tracker, Onsolve and Microsoft suite of products or similar intelligence platforms preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills including writing, editing and briefing and demonstrated ability to produce concise intelligence reports for executive audiences.
  • Familiarity with global data privacy regulations a plus.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and respond quickly during crisis situations.
  • Commitment to ethical intelligence practices and confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Availability for on-call support during global events and crisis situations.
  • Ability to pass background checks (criminal, employment, education) and drug screening (where applicable).
Working Hours:
Role is a standard local business hours, onsite, in office position. Additionally, as a member of a global security team focused on executive protection, the successful candidate will be required to work some out of business hours to attend meetings or calls in other time zones.
Remuneration:
