Survey outreach field staff Palo Alto, CA Altrans TMA is hiring temporary field staff to collect commute mode usage data through in-person intercept surveys - on the street, in businesses, and in restaurants. You will approach people directly, explain the survey briefly, and record responses accurately. $50/hour 12 hrs/week 4 week duration Sept 8 - Oct 2 Requirements Able to stay active and mobile throughout hours-long shifts, mostly standing and walking outdoors Comfortable approaching strangers in public and starting a short conversation Clear, courteous communication and a professional presence representing Altrans Careful and accurate when recording responses Reliable availability for 12 hours per week, Tuesday, September 8 through Friday, October 2 Access to email for scheduling and daily check-ins Tasks Conduct in-person intercept surveys on the street, in businesses, and in restaurants Explain the purpose of the commute mode usage survey to prospective respondents Record survey responses accurately and submit completed forms daily Follow up by email with contacts who prefer to respond later Track outrach locations, counts, and response rates for each shift Report progress and field conditions to the Executive Director Reports to the Palo Alto TMA Executive Director You an also apply: hiring@altrans.net Apply
