Lincoln, NE Job Details Part-time $18.50 - $19.00 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Driver's License Full Job Description The Drug Screening Technician is responsible for conducting substance use screenings in accordance with established protocols set forth by the State of Nebraska. This role involves direct client interaction, direct observation of sample collection process, and documentation of results. Jenda Family Services is seeking a part-time Drug Testing Specialist in Lincoln for our random drug testing program.
Schedule:
Schedule varies based on testing needs but includes weekdays and weekends. Testing days are 10 hours per day, pre-determined, and typically involve 2-3 testing days per week. Multiple tests per day are conducted in client homes, requiring travel.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Collect urine, saliva, and sweat patch samples from clients under direct observation. Accurately complete required documentation with clients. Interpret and communicate tests results to clients. Encouraging sobriety and provide clients with appropriate paperwork. Coordinate and schedule clients for off-site testing. Travel to client homes for scheduled testing. Travel may be required outside the Omaha metro area Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Adherence to contract protocols for conducting substance use screenings. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as a team to complete daily tasks. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to build rapport and establish trust with diverse families. Professionalism and strong interpersonal skills. Capacity to maintain professional boundaries while working with sensitive family situations. Commitment to confidentiality and compliance with professional and organizational standards. Adaptability to manage evolving tasks and responsibilities.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent Experience working in the human services field preferred. Must be at least 19 years of age Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
Work and Physical Environment:
Work is conducted both in the office and at client homes as needed. Daily travel may expose workers to outdoor weather conditions. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
