Survey Administrator - Part Time RTI International - 3.7 Jersey City, NJ Job Details Part-time $23 an hour 20 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Flexible schedule Qualifications Confidential information handling Outdoor work experience Computer literacy English Driver's License Driving Standard operating procedures (SOPs) Mobile devices Full Job Description Survey Administrators are responsible for: Traveling frequently to selected locations to administer survey or assessments to study participants Making in-person contact with selected respondents to discuss the study, answer questions, and obtain participation and/or assessments Prompting school staff by email and phone for missing data collection information (such as ensuring teachers administer surveys directly to students, scheduling make-up sessions, resolving data collection discrepancies) Hosting meetings with school staff to assess preparedness of scheduled survey dates, ensuring survey day logistics are completed Communicating with school staff to track parental consent returns and student eligibility to ensure only students allowed to participate, participate on the scheduled survey date Independently managing administrative duties, including participating in conference calls and completing online trainings Assuming full and legal responsibility for use and care of project issued equipment Safeguarding any issued equipment or project materials against damage, loss, or theft Submitting timely and accurate Time and Expense reports Attending virtually scheduled meetings with other members of the project team This position involves standing, walking and climbing stairs, and transporting equipment and materials such as laptop computers and notebooks weighing 15 pounds or more
Requirements:
Minimum Required Qualifications Possess effective communication skills through speech and listening Fluency in English through reading, writing, and speaking Available for entire training and data collection period Able to successfully complete training Must have a valid US driver's license and reliable personal automobile available for business use Comfortable using RTI issued tablet, laptop, and other associated equipment Access to password protected WiFI connection for data transmission and administrative responsibilities Able to keep project information confidential Willingness to work in various types of weather conditions and after dark Ability and willingness to drive up to three hours from home to assigned sampled schools Ability and willingness to drive more than three hours from home to assigned sampled schools requiring an overnight stay Ability to uphold project-specific standard operating procedures and guidelines. Ability to work early morning weekday hours when survey dates take place. Preferred Qualifications for Ideal Candidates Positive, self-motivated, curious, and enjoy interacting with people from a variety of backgrounds Effective time, schedule, and workload management skills to meet set deadlines Computer skills, namely email and internet proficiency Experience conducting data collection in a school/classroom setting Ability to manage work tasks independently and as part of a team Experience effectively managing classrooms to avoid potential disruptions during a proctored survey/assessment or in a similar environment. Experience with survey data collections which collect sensitive health and behavior risk information Experience with fostering a safe environment in which sample members feel comfortable responding to sensitive health and behavior risk survey questions Ability to troubleshoot technology issues independently Experience with data entry tasks within a control system
