Under supervision, the incumbent will work in all phases of research, including study design, recruitment and retention of participants, data collection, data management and analysis and reporting. Studies involve both quantitative and qualitative methods. The incumbent may implement surveys, interviews, focus groups, or other types of data collection. The position may also conduct literature reviews and write drafts of data briefs on various topics and contribute to manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication as well as grant applications. The incumbent may use Stata, R, or other software for data analysis. Duties and responsibilities for this position may include: Collaborates in the planning, development, and implementation of field research studies Participates in the recruitment and retention of school staff, students, parents, or others for research studies Represents the team as part of committees, advisory groups, or community-based collaborations Collects qualitative data through interviews or focus groups Independently executes research methods, protocols, and procedures Analyzes, evaluates, and interprets research data, and prepares summaries and inferences for review by investigators Conducts literature reviews Contributes to the development of summary reports, presentations, and manuscripts associated with original research findings Provides professional guidance, leadership, and instruction to technical support staff and/or students engaged in project activities Performs other job duties as assigned See the Position Description for additional information. Conditions of Employment For individual positions in which driving is a job requirement, a valid NM driver's license and valid UNM driver's permit will be required. Successful candidate must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
