Job Summary Douglas and Storey County We are seeking dedicated and energetic Elections Poll Observers to play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and transparency of the electoral process. As a Poll Observer, you will serve as a trusted representative at polling locations, monitoring activities to uphold election laws and procedures. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to engage with diverse communities, promote civic participation, and contribute to the democratic process. Ideal candidates are proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about community engagement and public service. Duties Observe polling station activities to ensure compliance with election regulations and procedures Take surveys through out the day. Monitor voter conduct and assist in maintaining a fair, accessible voting environment for all community members Collect data on polling operations, voter turnout, and any irregularities or issues that arise during voting hours Document observations accurately through reports and logs for transparency and accountability Support outreach efforts by promoting awareness of election dates, voting rights, and community participation initiatives Data collection proficiency for accurate reporting of polling observations Experience working with culturally diverse communities and underserved populations. Strong writing skills for report drafting and communication materials Technical proficiency in data entry, reporting tools, and social media platforms Organizational skills essential for managing multiple responsibilities during election periods Join us in making a meaningful impact by safeguarding the democratic process!
