Job Description

Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Part-Time Gift Processor for a mission-driven nonprofit organization. This is a temporary, part-time, hybrid opportunity based in Boston, MA , working approximately 20 hours per week from early October through mid-January . The schedule includes two full days onsite and one half-day remote each week .
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Part-Time Gift Processor will provide essential administrative and gift processing support to the Development team during the organization's busy year-end giving season. This position will be responsible for accurately processing donations, maintaining donor records, preparing acknowledgment correspondence, and supporting ongoing donor stewardship activities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with databases, and able to manage recurring tasks and deadlines with accuracy and discretion.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Process online gifts and ensure donations are entered accurately and in a timely manner. Create new donor records and maintain existing donor information within Raiser's Edge . Prepare, assemble, and mail donor acknowledgment letters while tracking hand-signed correspondence through completion. Prepare and distribute additional donor correspondence and stewardship materials. Maintain accurate, consistent, and confidential donor and gift records. Provide additional administrative and project support to the Development team as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining accurate donor and gift information. Comfortable working with databases and managing confidential information with discretion. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general administrative technology. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage recurring projects, priorities, and deadlines. Previous administrative, data entry, nonprofit development, or similar support experience preferred; interest in environmental advocacy is a plus.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This temporary position offers $25 per hour and approximately 20 hours per week . The assignment is anticipated to begin in early October and continue through mid-January . Candidates should be available to work their agreed-upon schedule throughout the busy holiday fundraising season, with the office closed on Thanksgiving and the Friday after Thanksgiving and adjusted hours/closures around Christmas Eve and New Year's Day.
