Planning EB Groton Shipyard Overview The 768EOH Advance planning team is seeking an experienced planner to facilitate the USS Hartford End Game. The Largest Overhaul ever conducted at Electric boat is nearing its final stages. Candidates need to be self-motivated and able to work independently. Experienced Planners looking for an increase in challenge and role are especially desired. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Heavy focus on integrating and tracking Vendor work supporting Electric boat Milestones and key events Assist with tracking and scheduling ships force maintenance activities with an emphasis on completion in support of the test program Creation of metrics for use in briefing Executive staff on project progress Impact assessment of critical path work as growth and/or material issues arise Providing real time data to the project team concerning target allocation and schedule adherence
Responsibilities Skills:
Skilled computer and Microsoft Office user Strong communication skills Planning software Critical thinking Independent worker Ability to adapt to the unique planning requirements and databases (internal and external) for commissioned ships Understanding of Critical and Controlling paths Ability to translate Vendor provided schedule products into the Artemis network
Qualifications Required:
High school or GED Education Four years of EB experience in Production Control, Detail Planning, Advance Planning, Program Office or a combination of any equaling at least Four years Experience working to preplan

Ability to work overtime when required Skilled in the use of Microsoft project. Able to create and maintain schedules in a dynamic environment over relatively long time periods Possess and maintain an active Secret clearance
Preferred:
Naval Submarine experience Prior experience as a liaison to Vendor activities servicing Electric boat Knowledge of submarines, including general knowledge of and submarine systems (purpose and operations) Possess experience and knowledge of the requirements for successfully integrating Test and Ships Force requirements into the IMS network Knowledge and experience with the Los Angles Class Submarines, Virginia Class Integrated Master Schedule and Earned Value Management System An understanding of Project Management Software, predominantly ARTEMIS and Micro soft project
