Job Description
This position applies knowledge of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Traffic Signals and Tolling Operations technology to support the FDOT District Four Regional Transportation Management Center (RTMC) and overall Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSM&O) Program. This full-time position is based out of the District Four RTMC located on Commercial Boulevard in Broward County and is in charge of District Four's Managed Lanes and Ramp Signal Program. The Managed Lanes and Ramp Signaling Program covers the I-95 (95 Express), I-75 (75 Express) and Ramp Signaling system along I-95 within the District Four area of responsibility. Job Duties & Expectations Overseeing managed lanes operations. Overseeing ramp signaling operations. Overseeing overall project performance to ensure it is meeting the intended results. Evaluating and analyzing project related performance metrics. Developing and implementing recommendations to mitigate performance measures degradation. Conducting and overseeing operational analyses. Updating the District 4 Express Lanes Operational Procedures (ELOP) at least once a year Providing projects related data and information to others (internal and external). Coordinating and supporting testing for all software, hardware, and firmware upgrades / changes for Managed Lanes and Ramp Signaling. Reviewing and updating operational parameters including but not limited to: Time of Day, Level of Service, and Traffic Density Delta tables for Express Lanes. Minimum and maximum metering rates and other parameters for Ramp Signaling. Representing the
