Planning Intern - Andover

Job Description
The City of Andover (population 32,000+) is seeking a Planning Intern for a broad, hands-on municipal planning experience. Responsibilities include code enforcement, responding to planning and zoning inquiries, preparing staff reports for the Planning Commission and City Council, and assisting with a variety of planning projects. Applicants should be pursuing a degree in urban planning, urban studies, public administration, landscape architecture, or a related field. Municipal planning or public administration experience is preferred. Successful candidates are self-motivated, possess strong problem-solving skills, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. The internship runs approximately September 2026 through May 2027 and requires a commitment of 32-40 hours per week. Compensation is $20.00-$22.00 per hour, depending on experience.
