At CHS, we are creating connections to empower agriculture. Summary CHS is seeking a Transportation Fleet Asset Management Intern in Inver Grove Heights, MN for Spring/Summer 2027. This internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain insight into our successful transportation team, with a focus on our Asset Management team. This internship offers hands-on experience in managing and optimizing the lifecycle of transportation assets. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support data analysis, reporting and strategic planning efforts that improve the asset performance and lifecycle. We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented and possess strong communication skills. Responsibilities Analyze and manage large amounts of transportation asset data, including fleet utilization, maintenance records, and lifecycle costs, to support strategic decision-making. Maintain and enhance asset inventories and databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness across systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including transportation operations, maintenance, and financial planning, to identify opportunities for efficiency, cost savings, and performance improvements. Support reporting and presentation development for leadership, highlighting asset performance insights and actionable recommendations. Participate in audits and inspections to ensure compliance with asset management policies and standards. Contribute to strategic projects, such as sustainability initiatives, technology integration, and process optimization. Engage with field operations teams, gaining hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of transportation maintenance practices and team dynamics. Assist with other duties and projects as assigned, supporting the broader goals of the transportation asset management team. Minimum Qualifications (required)
  • Currently enrolled in supply chain, logistics, transportation, or related field.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills. Additional Qualifications

  • Interest in transportation systems and infrastructure.
