Job Posting Staff Planner Employer Neglia Group Lyndhurst, New Jersey Description Neglia Group is looking for talented, energetic and self-motivated employee with good communication skills for the following position in our Lyndhurst, NJ Office. Since our founding a half-century ago, we have amassed a wealth of practical experience in the fields of civil and environmental engineering, municipal engineering, traffic engineering, surveying, landscape architectural construction inspection, and planning. Experience and Requirements Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Planning (or similar equivalent field). AICP and/or PP license or an interest/goal to obtain them. 1-5 years of experience in Land Development, Zoning, and Planning. Candidate should possess good communication, verbal, and technical writing skills. Candidate should be comfortable with public speaking. Understanding of zoning ordinances, Municipal Land Use Law, Master Planning, Affordable Housing, and Redevelopment Plans in New Jersey. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred, but not required. Primary Duties and Responsibilities. Working with the Planning Team to support municipal clients in writing Master Plans, Redevelopment Plans, Housing Plans, and Investigation Studies. (Attendance at some night meetings) Assisting with the review of site plans and subdivision applications for Municipal Land Use Boards. Assisting in drafting amendments to zoning ordinances. Preparing visuals and presentations for public meetings. Creating streetscape and architectural design standards. Present reports to municipal officials and staff, and the general public.
