Job Description

Entry-level administrative work performing a broad range of functions related to the development of long- and short-range planning duties in accordance with the City's Unified Development Code, Comprehensive Plan, Downtown Development Plan and Historic Districts. Assignments include but are not limited to, development plan and permit review, writing staff reports, site inspections as needed, answering public inquiries about zoning, and other projects as assigned. Work is to be carried out with a reasonable degree of independent action and judgment in required time frames. The incumbent in this position will interact with the public often, informing the general public of planning regulations and procedures.
