Job Description
The City of Lancaster, Texas is seeking a motivated and highly organized professional to serve as Assistant to the City Manager - Operations within the City Manager's Office. This position supports the City Manager's Office through project coordination, research and analysis, legislative review, budget monitoring, and collaboration with City departments and community stakeholders. The position coordinates special projects, monitors project timelines and organizational goals, prepares reports for City leadership and City Council, and assists in responding to complex resident and stakeholder inquiries. The Assistant to the City Manager - Operations also oversees and administers the City's Tax Increment Financing (TIF) District and Public Improvement Districts (PIDs), including budget development and monitoring, financial analysis, meeting coordination, policy recommendations, contracts, reporting, and preparation of City Council action items. This is an excellent opportunity for a public service professional interested in municipal operations, public administration, community development, and city management to gain broad experience working within the City Manager's Office.
