Job Description

Job DescriptionDavid Weekley Homes is seeking an experienced residential Land Acquisition Manager to join our greater San Antonio Division. This role plays a key part in identifying, analyzing, and acquiring land and lot opportunities that support our new community growth and long-term success.



This individual will work closely with the division and regional leadership teams to source deals, complete underwriting, and manage the full process from pursuit to launch.



ResponsibilitiesActively build and maintain relationships with developers, brokers, builders, engineers, and other industry partners in support of sourcing new land and lot opportunities.



Lead and support deal pursuits, including LOIs (Letters of Intent), negotiations, and contract reviews with the Land and Legal teams.



Evaluate financial proformas and market data to determine project viability.



Collaborate with entitlements, finance, and purchasing teams to ensure accurate assumptions and smooth execution.



Conduct site visits, market research, and competition studies to support new community approvals.



Help develop short- and long-term land strategies with division and regional leadership teams.



QualificationsProven ability to identify, evaluate, and manage land acquisition opportunities from sourcing through contract.



At least 3 years of experience in residential land acquisition.



Strong financial, analytical, and negotiation skills, with sound decision-making ability.



Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, business, or related field preferred.



Proficient in GIS software; Zonda platform is a plus.



Working knowledge of zoning, entitlements, and due diligence processes.



Proactive, self-motivated individual who takes ownership and thrives in a fast-paced environment.



Relationship-driven professional who values collaboration and builds trust with partners, teams, and the community.



Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
