We are seeking an early career Design Planner who is driven and takes pride in technical precision and production quality. The successful candidate will work on a variety of land development projects as part of a multi-disciplined design team that includes civil engineers, planners, transportation experts, surveyors and landscape architects. This is an in-office position based at our Tyson, Virginia office. What We Hope You Will Bring BA/BS in Planning (or a related field) preferred Knowledge of AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred) Technical experience in AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred); some experience with water, sewer, and general utility design; roadway, and related site design/layout including cross sections; basic understanding of grading principles; using and manipulating aerial and topographic map files; and preparing entitlement documents. Ability to research and analyze local zoning codes, land use regulations, and environmental laws and to apply them to assigned projects. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word) Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and time management skills
