The successful candidate will teach 1-3 courses in English, Economics, Mathematics, Art History, or related subjects, while also serving as the primary coordinator for approximately 30 students participating in the school's Early College Program. This role requires strong teaching ability, excellent organization, close student monitoring, and consistent academic follow-through. The candidate will be responsible for tracking student progress, ensuring students meet deadlines, maintaining accountability, and providing structured academic support through daily after-school study sessions. Key Responsibilities Teaching Responsibilities The candidate will teach 1-3 courses based on school needs and the candidate's subject expertise. Preferred teaching areas include English, Economics, Calculus, Art History, or related subjects.
Responsibilities include:
Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments aligned with school standards Deliver engaging, academically rigorous instruction to high school students Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance Provide timely feedback to students regarding academic progress Support students' academic development and college readiness Foster a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment Early College Program Coordination The candidate will serve as the primary coordinator for Concord's Early College Program and will support approximately 30 students enrolled in dual enrollment college courses.
Responsibilities include:
Monitor student progress across dual enrollment courses Track assignments, projects, quizzes, exams, and major deadlines Conduct regular academic check-ins with students Hold students accountable for meeting course requirements and deadlines Help students develop effective time management, study, and organizational skills Identify students who may be falling behind and implement appropriate intervention plans Maintain academic tracking systems, progress reports, and student accountability records Provide regular updates to school leadership regarding student performance, concerns, and intervention outcomes Coordinate with college partners, faculty, and school leadership when necessary Communicate with students and families as needed regarding academic progress and program expectations After-School Study Hall Management The candidate will supervise mandatory after-school study hall from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Responsibilities include:
Create and maintain a productive, structured academic environment Monitor student attendance, participation, and engagement Ensure students are actively completing assignments, preparing for assessments, and meeting course deadlines Provide academic support, guidance, and accountability as needed Enforce study hall expectations and maintain consistent student follow-through Communicate concerns or patterns of non-compliance to school leadership Qualifications Bachelor's degree required Bilingual fluency in Mandarin and English required Ability to teach English, Economics, Mathematics, Art History, or related subjects Previous teaching experience preferred Experience working with high school students preferred Strong organizational and project management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple students, courses, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through Ability to motivate students and hold them accountable Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, faculty, and school leadership Preferred Qualifications Experience with dual enrollment, AP, or college preparatory programs Familiarity with Canvas or other learning management systems Experience supporting academically ambitious students Experience working with international students Experience providing academic coaching, study skills support, or student accountability support Teaching experience in English, Economics, Calculus, Art History, or related high school-level subjects
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
