7EDU is an education technology company dedicated to guiding K-12 students through academic planning, personal development, and college admissions. We build our own curriculum, technology, and counseling systems to deliver structured, highly personalized guidance that helps students reach their full potential. Unlike many counseling organizations, our counselors work as part of a collaborative team with clearly defined roles, shared processes, and ongoing coaching. Success at 7EDU is less about years of counseling experience and more about the ability to build meaningful relationships, communicate effectively, and continuously learn. We are seeking a College Counseling Associate who aspires to become an exceptional college counselor. You will work alongside one of our senior counselors, supporting students while learning our counseling philosophy, systems, and approach. Rather than managing a large independent caseload from day one, you will gradually develop responsibility as you demonstrate strong judgment, organization, and the ability to connect with students and families. This position is designed as a long-term growth opportunity. Over time, successful associates may transition into a full College Counselor role or continue developing within student success and specialized counseling support. Key Responsibilities Partner with a senior College Counselor to support assigned students throughout the admissions process. Conduct regular check-in meetings with students to monitor academic, extracurricular, and admissions progress. Help students stay organized, accountable, and on track with deadlines and action plans. Provide coaching and feedback on essays, applications, and other admissions-related materials under the guidance of senior counselors. Maintain accurate meeting notes, progress updates, and student records using internal systems. Communicate professionally with students, parents, and the counseling team to ensure a consistent student experience. Participate in counselor training, case reviews, and ongoing professional development. What We're Looking For We care less about the number of years you've spent in college counseling and more about your ability to learn, build trust, and support students.
Strong candidates will have:
An interest in college admissions, education, coaching, or mentoring. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both students and parents. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. The ability to learn quickly, receive feedback, and thrive in a collaborative environment. A genuine desire to help students grow and succeed. The professionalism and maturity to represent 7EDU's counseling philosophy. Previous experience in education, teaching, advising, mentoring, or counseling is preferred, but we recognize that success in this role comes from adaptability, coachability, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Growth at 7EDU This role is built around mentorship. Associates work closely with experienced counselors, gradually taking on greater responsibility as they master our systems and counseling approach. As you grow, opportunities may include: Managing your own student caseload as a College Counselor. Developing expertise in specialized areas of counseling or student success. Mentoring future Counseling Associates as our team expands.
