Position Summary :
The Thrive Student Success Coach provides targeted social-emotional and behavioral support to K-12 students. The Student Success Coach facilitates Tier 2 small-group SEL support and Tier 3 individualized behavioral support while collaborating with teachers, administrators, student-support personnel, and KTH Learning supervisors. The role combines direct student support, relationship building, structured intervention, progress monitoring, documentation, and school-site collaboration. Essential ResponsibilitiesTier 2 Small-Group Support Facilitate structured small-group SEL sessions aligned with the five CASEL competencies. Lead developmentally appropriate activities, discussions, reflection, and skill practice using the approved Thrive curriculum. Support students in applying SEL strategies within classroom and school settings.
Monitor student participation, skill development, and progress throughout each 8-week Tier 2 cycle. Tier 3 Individualized Support Provide scheduled one-on-one behavioral and social-emotional support to assigned students. Support students in working toward individualized SMART goals developed in collaboration with appropriate school personnel. Teach, model, practice, and reinforce positive replacement behaviors and strategies. Monitor and document progress toward established student goals. Adjust support strategies as appropriate based on student progress, identified needs, and guidance from KTH Learning and designated school personnel. Provide continued individualized support when warranted by student need. Progress Monitoring & Documentation Maintain accurate records of student attendance, participation, sessions, observations, and progress. Administer or support approved pre/post surveys, assessments, student reflections, and behavioral progress-monitoring tools. Document SMART-goal progress and relevant teacher and school-team feedback. Complete required documentation within KTH Learning timelines. Maintain student confidentiality and handle student information in accordance with KTH Learning and school/district requirements. School-Site Collaboration Coordinate appropriately with teachers and designated school personnel regarding student needs and progress. Participate in student-support conversations and site meetings when requested or assigned. Maintain positive, professional relationships with school staff and follow school-site procedures. Communicate significant student needs, concerns, scheduling issues, or barriers to the Thrive Success Coach Lead / Program Manager. Student Engagement & Program Implementation Build consistent, supportive, and developmentally appropriate relationships with participating students. Create an environment that balances encouragement, respect, structure, and accountability. Reinforce student effort, growth, positive behavior, and application of learned skills. Implement the approved Thrive incentive and recognition system. Follow the Thrive Program Model, Playbook, curriculum, data procedures, and escalation protocols. Prepare materials and spaces, retrieve and transition students according to school procedures, and maintain the assigned service schedule. Participate in required KTH Learning training, coaching, supervision, and program-quality reviews. Qualifications Experience working directly with elementary-age youth in school, youth-development, mentoring, behavioral-support, or related settings. Ability to facilitate small groups and build productive one-on-one relationships with students. Strong communication, reliability, professionalism, documentation, and time-management skills. Ability to follow structured curriculum and intervention procedures while responding appropriately to individual student needs. Ability to collaborate effectively with school personnel and KTH Learning supervisors. Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries and student confidentiality. Employment & School-Site Requirements The following requirements may be completed as part of KTH Learning's onboarding process following hire and must be completed, as applicable, before the employee begins independent student services at an assigned school site: Successful completion of required background check and fingerprint clearance. Current TB clearance as required for school-site service. Completion of required Mandated Reporter Training. Completion of required Sexual Harassment Prevention Training. Completion of KTH Learning's required Restorative Practices Training. Completion of required Thrive program training, including Tier 2 facilitation, Tier 3 individualized support, SMART goals, progress monitoring, documentation, student confidentiality, and escalation procedures. Compliance with applicable KTH Learning and assigned school/district policies, procedures, and professional requirements. Performance Expectations Consistent attendance and punctuality on assigned service days. Consistent implementation of the Thrive Program Model and approved curriculum. Timely and accurate student documentation and progress monitoring. Professional communication and collaboration with students, school partners, families when applicable, and KTH Learning staff. Appropriate escalation of student safety, behavioral, or program concerns. Active participation in supervision, coaching, feedback, training, and continuous improvement.
Pay:
$25.00
•$30.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 27.5 per week
