Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated bilingual (Spanish-speaking) School Counselor to join our team for a full-time maternity leave assignment during the 2026/2027 school year. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to support middle school students through academic, social-emotional, and behavioral counseling services in a collaborative educational environment. Requirements:
Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Counselor endorsement required Fluent Spanish speaking required Previous school-based counseling experience preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills
Onsite Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling services to middle school students Support students' academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families Maintain student documentation and counseling records Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and student support planning
Interview Process:
(10-15) minute screening call with a Soliant Education Recruiter (20-30) minute virtual interview directly with the school district Offer is typically within 24 hours of the virtual interview.
Work Hours:
Full-Time 37.5 hours per week August 11, 2026 - November 16, 2026 6th-8th Grade Caseload (Approximately 190 Students)
