Oct 20, 2026 Job Description Work year = 193 days The School Adjustment Counselor provides mental health and social emotional learning support and interventions to students in order to support student well-being and achievement. Services are delivered within a multi-tiered system of support framework. In addition, the school adjustment counselor partners with families and other community agencies/providers to best meet student and family needs. School adjustment counselors also provide consultation to district staff on how to create an environment that supports student success and learning within the classroom and school-wide.

, Job Requirements Master's Degree in relevant field required with additional licensure as an LCSW, LICSW or LMHC preferred. MA DESE Certification as School Social Worker/School Adjustment Counselor All Levels. Experience providing counseling services in a school setting; post-Master's degree experience preferred. Experience in clinical assessment/treatment of students with mental health and other social/environmental concerns. Experience with behavior intervention plans preferred. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
