Full-Time Position Summary Westwood Heights Schools is seeking a dedicated, highly organized Guidance Counselor to support students in grades 7-12 at Hamady Middle High School. In addition to delivering comprehensive counseling services, the individual in this role will oversee master scheduling and student class scheduling for all 7th through 12th graders. Key Responsibilities Provide academic, career, social, and emotional counseling to students in grades 7-12. Lead, build, and maintain master schedules and individual student schedules for all 7-12 grade levels. Collaborate with administration, staff, and parents to align scheduling with graduation requirements and educational standards. Guide students through college, vocational, and post-secondary planning. Qualifications & Requirements Valid Michigan Department of Education (MDE) School Counselor endorsement (NT endorsement) or active MDE School Counselor License/Credential required for K-12 public schools. Master's Degree in School Counseling or related field. Experience with student information systems, timetable construction, and secondary school scheduling preferred.
