Job Description

Category Schools - Counselor Job Type Contract Make a difference supporting students' academic, social, and emotional needs as a dedicated school counselor in a vibrant educational environment. This full-time contract position provides the opportunity to foster student growth, collaborate with educators, and help shape positive school experiences. Candidates with either a School Counselor License (SCL) or Preliminary School Counselor License (PSCL) are welcomed. Your passion for student advocacy and resourceful guidance will be essential in empowering students to reach their full potential.
Qualifications:
Valid School Counselor License (SCL) or Preliminary School Counselor License (PSCL) Experience as a school counselor or guidance counselor preferred Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work with students individually and in groups Knowledge of counseling best practices, student development, and crisis intervention Strong organizational skills and a collaborative spirit
Key Responsibilities:
Provide personal, academic, and career counseling services to students Develop and implement guidance lessons and school-wide initiatives Collaborate with families, teachers, and staff to support student success Assist students with developing skills for academic and social success Respond to student concerns through one-on-one and group counseling Support crisis management and intervention efforts within the school setting Maintain documentation and confidentiality in accordance with ethical and legal requirements Expect a supportive and dynamic setting where your expertise is valued and your role is vital to the school community's well-being.
