Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Active Michigan education certificate with a School Counselor Endorsement (please ensure your credentials are current and clearly indicated on your application) Previous experience working as a school counselor, particularly with high school students, preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff Ability to work collaboratively in an academic team setting Commitment to fostering a supportive and encouraging environment for diverse learners

Key Responsibilities:

Offer academic counseling to high school students, supporting them in achieving their educational and career goals Meet individually and in groups with students to discuss academic planning, college and career readiness, and personal development Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to develop tailored support plans for students Maintain accurate student records and provide timely reports as needed Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all student matters This full-time role will have you working a contract schedule from August 31, 2026, through June 4, 2027.
