9674713-38606 Job Description Seeking an experienced school counselor for an immediate contract role supporting high school students through June. In this role, youll help create a positive educational atmosphere and deliver guidance and counseling services to approximately 300 students, all located at a single site. Desired Experience and Qualifications:

Active Mississippi standard teachers license (required) Previous experience providing counseling in a school setting preferred Understanding of high school student concerns and developmental milestones Excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work collaboratively with staff and families

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive counseling, addressing academic, career, and social-emotional needs Support students in crisis situations, offering immediate assistance and referrals Conduct individual and group counseling sessions as appropriate Develop and implement guidance programs aligned with Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) requirements Collaborate with teachers, administration, and families to identify student needs and deliver appropriate interventions Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state policies Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students
