9657309-27503 Job Description Empower and support students in a dynamic contract position as a school counselor! This full-time opportunity runs from 7:30am 3:30pm, allowing you to make a measurable difference each day. Serving a caseload of approximately 500 students, youll work with a diverse population, supporting both general education and special education students. While the caseload is sizable, its thoughtfully structuredsome students may only need brief support during the year, making the workload manageable and rewarding.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

Current school counselor certification or licensure (or eligibility) Background or training in counseling within K-12 settings, including both SPED and general education populations Strong communication and rapport-building skills with students, staff, and families Ability to manage a large, varied caseload with attention to documentation and confidentiality Collaborative spirit to connect with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and administrators

Primary Responsibilities:

Assess students needs and provide direct counseling services for academic, behavioral, and social/emotional support Deliver both individual and group counseling services Consult with educators, parents, and outside professionals to develop appropriate intervention strategies Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with school and legal requirements Contribute to school-wide initiatives to foster a positive and supportive learning environment Enjoy a competitive compensation package starting at $35+ per hour, paid weekly for your convenience.
