9657309-27573 Job Description Make a positive impact in the lives of students as a full-time Counselor in a dynamic school setting near Roxboro, NC! This contract role offers the opportunity to support a diverse caseload of approximately 500 students, including both general education and special education populations. You'll work within standard school hours, 7:30am - 3:30pm, in an environment that values your skills and provides a structured yet flexible approach to student care. While the overall caseload is large, many students will require limited sessions, enabling you to focus on those needing ongoing support.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid counselor certification or eligibility for required credentials in the state Experience working in school settings, especially with both SPED and general education students, is preferred Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively manage a varied caseload Empathy and the ability to connect with children and adolescents Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure comprehensive student support

Key Responsibilities:

Provide counseling services to students on an as-needed and ongoing basis Conduct assessments and develop individualized plans to promote student well-being Collaborate with faculty and special education teams to facilitate inclusive support Lead small groups or classroom sessions as assigned Keep accurate and timely documentation of all sessions and communications
