2993589016-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Seabright School and Therapy Staffing, a mission-driven education and therapy staffing firm based in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a School Counselor to support K-12 students in partner schools. In this role, you'll provide individual and group counseling, crisis support, and classroom guidance to promote social-emotional, behavioral, and academic success. You'll collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams, contributing counseling expertise to IEP/504 and student support plans. Seabright offers flexible placements, supportive leadership, and opportunities to grow across diverse school settings while maintaining a strong focus on ethical, relationship-based service. Responsibilities Provide individual and group counseling to K-12 students to support social-emotional and academic success Conduct needs assessments, risk assessments, and crisis intervention as needed Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop student support and behavior plans Participate in IEP/504 and student support team meetings, providing counseling input and documentation Maintain accurate, confidential records and progress notes in line with school and legal requirements Deliver classroom guidance lessons on topics such as coping skills, conflict resolution, and career awareness Consult with community and mental health providers to coordinate services and referrals Contribute to a positive, inclusive school climate aligned with Seabright's mission and ethical standards Required Skills School counseling techniques Individual and group counseling Crisis intervention and risk assessment Behavior and support plan development IEP/504 and special education collaboration Student case management and documentation Consultation with families and educators Classroom guidance and SEL curriculum Cultural competence in diverse school settings Basic data collection and progress monitoring
