This role focuses on student counseling, wellness programming, and collaboration with faculty, staff, and families in both Japanese and English. The ideal candidate is compassionate, proactive, culturally sensitive, and experienced in adolescent mental health support.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling to high school students Support crisis intervention and coordinate outside mental health referrals Communicate with students, parents, and faculty in Japanese and English Develop and implement wellness and social-emotional learning programs Support student transitions and orientation programs Participate in school events, committees, and residential community support
Qualifications:
Expert-level fluency in Japanese NY State counseling-related licensure (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, etc.) Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field Experience working with adolescents in educational settings Strong communication and interpersonal skills Boarding school or cross-cultural experience is a plus
