An Academic or Guidance Counselor provides guidance to students in elementary, middle and high schools to help them succeed academically and socially. Works with school teachers and administrators to address problems that affect student performance, and identifies resources for students and families. Helps high school students to plan academic course work and advises on the college search and application process.
The LifeWorks School in Doylestown, PA is hiring an energetic, collaborative, and experienced School Counselor for the 2026-2027 Academic School Year. The LifeWorks Schools are licensed specialty therapeutic day schools for students in middle and high school effected by social, emotional, or behavioral health challenges. SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides group counseling on a daily basis to students stressing skill enhancement and emotional health. Provides supportive care and guidance for students to achieve success. Writes monthly reports and narrative notes. Facilitates teacher understanding of emotional issues effecting classroom performance.
