The Role As our K-8 School Counselor, you will be the heart of our student support system. You won't just react to crises—you will proactively design a comprehensive guidance culture. From classroom lessons on resilience to small-group sessions on the "fear of failure," you will ensure our students have the emotional toolkit to match their intellectual drive.

What You'll Do Counsel & Connect:

Provide impactful social and emotional support to students through individual, small-group, and classroom-based counseling.

Curriculum Design:

Develop and implement a modern K-8 guidance curriculum addressing critical topics like self-esteem, healthy peer relationships, conflict resolution, and overcoming the fear of failure or success.

Inspire Futures:

Design and lead engaging career exploration activities tailored to spark the imagination of high-achieving minds. Partner with

Families:

Act as a trusted resource for parents, conducting information sessions and consultations to help them navigate the unique joys and challenges of raising a gifted child. Collaborate with

Staff:

Function as a vital multi-disciplinary team member alongside our instructional staff to support the holistic development of every student.

Community Liaison:

Connect families with specialized community resources when advanced or severe challenges arise.

Guard Privacy:

Maintain the highest standards of ethics and confidentiality regarding all privileged student and family information.

Qualifications Required:

Current Pennsylvania School Counselor Certification. The Ideal Profile (Preferred):

Experience:

3 to 5 years of successful experience in school counseling.

Gifted Mindset:

A deep, empathetic understanding of the unique social, emotional, and psychological needs of gifted students. Advanced coursework in gifted education is a significant plus.

Communication Mastery:

Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to bridge conversations between students, elite educators, and highly invested parents. Why Infinity?
