The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the 2026-2027 school year, providing stability and continuity for both counselor and students. Key Qualifications:
Valid certification or licensure as a school counselor Master's degree in School Counseling, Education, Psychology, or a related field Previous experience as a school counselor in K-12 settings is highly desirable Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills Commitment to confidentiality, ethical practice, and student advocacy Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and parents
Responsibilities:
Provide academic, career, college readiness, and personal/social counseling for students Conduct individual and group counseling sessions Assist with crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and behavioral support services Develop and implement prevention and intervention programs promoting well-being and academic progress Maintain detailed records and documentation in line with school policies Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students' unique needs Participate in professional development and in-service trainings as required Working full-time means you will make a meaningful difference for students throughout the school year with the support of the school community.
