Job Description

Category Schools - Counselor Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful position as a School Counselor, providing much-needed support and guidance to students in an engaging K-12 setting. This full-time, on-site contract role offers you a chance to make a true impact while working closely with both students and educational staff. With a caseload to be announced soon, you'll have the opportunity to shape the school community and help foster academic, personal, and social growth until the end of the 2026-27 school year.
Key Qualifications:
Valid school counseling certification (state requirements apply) Master's degree in School Counseling, Counseling, or a closely related field Previous experience working with students in educational settings highly preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate with administrators, teachers, parents, and outside agencies Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards Flexibility and adaptability with changing student needs and caseload
Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling to students on academic, social, and emotional topics Address student crises, conflicts, and behavioral concerns with sensitivity and professionalism Collaborate with teachers and parents to design interventions and support plans Assist with development and implementation of school-wide programs supporting student success Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in line with professional standards Encourage a positive and inclusive school environment Participate in parent meetings, staff training, and professional development as required This contract opportunity allows you to build lasting relationships in a supportive school environment while utilizing your expertise.
