Category Schools - Counselor Job Type Contract Make a positive impact on students' lives as an onsite school counselor in a supportive educational environment near Pageland, SC! This full-time contract position offers the chance to work directly with students and staff, helping foster personal, social, and academic growth within the school community. The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through the end of the 2026-2027 academic year, providing stability and an extended opportunity to make a difference.
Key Qualifications:
Valid school counselor certification or eligibility for South Carolina credentialing Previous experience in a school counseling role is highly valued Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities A collaborative mindset with a passion for student advocacy Ability to handle sensitive situations while maintaining confidentiality Commitment to promoting a safe, inclusive, and positive school culture
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct counseling support and guidance to students Develop and implement individualized support and intervention plans Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success Conduct assessments to identify student strengths, needs, and risks Facilitate small groups, classroom lessons, and crisis interventions as needed Serve as a resource for social-emotional learning, behavioral support, and college/career readiness Maintain accurate and timely documentation as required
