Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Hold a current and valid counselor certification for school settings. Previous experience as a school counselor or similar youth support role strongly preferred. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students from various backgrounds. Skilled in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and providing appropriate referrals as needed. Capable of maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards. Proficient in developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized academic and behavioral support plans.

Role Responsibilities:

Conduct individual and group counseling sessions addressing students academic, career, personal, and social development. Collaborate with teachers, families, and outside agencies to support students well-being. Assess students needs and provide crisis intervention when necessary. Develop and deliver age-appropriate guidance classroom lessons on topics such as bullying prevention, college/career readiness, and peer relationships. Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all students. Maintain and update confidential student records and documentation in accordance with district requirements and ethical standards. Participate in school-wide initiatives promoting student growth and academic success.
