Schedule:
2-4 days per week | Sunday-Thursday | After-school & evening hours About the Position Launch into Learning is seeking experienced, student-focused Executive Function Coaches for middle school, high school, and college students to join our growing team. Our coaches work one-on-one with students to develop the skills necessary for long-term academic success. Executive Function Coaches help students strengthen critical skills such as time management, organization, planning, study strategies, task initiation, self-monitoring, and flexible thinking. In addition to executive function coaching, coaches provide academic support, homework assistance, and accountability to help students build independence and confidence. Required Qualifications To be considered, candidates must have: Experience in education, teaching, tutoring, academic coaching, counseling, or a related field Prior experience providing executive function coaching, study skills instruction, academic support, or learning strategy intervention Experience working with middle school, high school, and/or college students in educational settings Strong understanding of executive function skills, including organization, planning, time management, task initiation, prioritization, self-regulation, and study skills Reliable transportation for travel to student homes throughout the Houston area Availability for in-person sessions through June 4, 2027, and preferably through the 2027-2028 academic year Responsibilities Work one-on-one with middle school, high school, or college students to develop executive function skills Adapt executive function strategies and coaching approaches based on student age, developmental level, and individual learning needs Support students in building systems for organization, time management, planning, and academic success Teach note-taking strategies, study skills, test preparation techniques, and homework management Help students develop routines, accountability systems, and long-term academic habits Assist students with general coursework and homework completion as needed Conduct weekly virtual student check-ins (approximately 15 minutes each) to monitor progress and maintain accountability Communicate regularly with the Launch into Learning administration team regarding scheduling and student progress Complete lesson reports after each session to provide updates to parents and Launch into Learning staff Travel to students' homes to conduct coaching sessions Required Skills & Experience Experience teaching, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, or supporting students in an educational setting Experience providing executive function coaching or study skills support Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to motivate students while maintaining accountability and structure Professionalism, reliability, and punctuality Comfortable working independently while collaborating with families and Launch into Learning staff
Preferred:
Specialized training in executive function coaching Background in special education, school counseling, educational therapy, psychology, learning disabilities, or related fields Experience supporting students with ADHD, dyslexia, anxiety, or other learning differences Teaching certification or advanced degree in education, counseling, psychology, or a related field Experience working with private school students Long-term availability and commitment to student success Why Work With Launch into Learning?
