Job Description

Category Schools - Counselor Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by providing essential counseling services to students across both elementary and middle school settings. This contract role, beginning in August 2025 and running through May 2027, offers the chance to serve multiple campuses—an engaging opportunity for professionals seeking a varied, collaborative school environment. With a focus on supporting approximately 30 students across five campuses, you'll play a key role in guiding young learners' academic, social, and emotional development.
Key Qualifications:
Active LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) credential in Texas Previous experience as a school counselor preferred Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to work effectively with students ranging from elementary to middle school ages Flexibility and adaptability to support multiple campuses Commitment to upholding confidentiality and ethical standards
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling sessions tailored to student needs Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to address academic or behavioral concerns Develop, implement, and evaluate student intervention plans Foster a safe, supportive environment that promotes mental wellness and positive student outcomes Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with district and legal requirements Support campus-wide initiatives focused on student well-being and success This contract involves working 16 hours per week, allowing for professional growth while maintaining work-life flexibility.
