Job Description

Category Schools - Counselor Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' social and emotional development as a school counselor. This role offers a unique blend of engagement across both elementary and middle school levels, providing excellent variety and the chance to make a real difference. The assignment begins August 12, 2025, and continues through May 21, 2027, with a flexible part-time schedule of 16 hours per week. Your primary focus will be on serving approximately 30 students across five campuses, helping to shape a positive and supportive learning environment. You'll become a vital resource for young learners, collaborating with educators and families to promote student well-being.
Qualifications:
Hold an active LPC license in Texas Previous counseling experience in a K-12 setting preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Familiarity with managing diverse student caseloads, especially across multiple campuses Ability to adapt to the needs of both elementary and middle school students
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct counseling services tailored to the academic, social, and emotional needs of students Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement support strategies Maintain accurate records and confidentiality in line with school and state guidelines Contribute to campus-wide initiatives fostering a positive school climate Experience the satisfaction of fostering growth and resilience in students while benefiting from a supportive, team-oriented environment.
