Job Description

Category Schools - Counselor Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a School Counselor on a contract basis, supporting elementary and middle school learners. This opportunity, beginning August 12, 2025, and running through May 21, 2027, offers a flexible schedule of 16 hours per week and the chance to provide guidance across approximately five campuses. Ideal candidates enjoy working closely with youth and collaborating with educators to support social-emotional well-being, academic growth, and crisis intervention. The expected caseload will be around 30 students, ensuring an environment where meaningful connections are possible.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification in Texas Experience as a school counselor strongly preferred Background in counseling elementary and middle school-aged students is a plus Ability to support diverse student needs, including academic and emotional challenges Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Skilled at collaborating with staff, families, and outside agencies as needed
Responsibilities Include:
Delivering individual and group counseling tailored to the needs of a varied student population Engaging in proactive interventions and crisis response as required Coordinating with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student development Keeping clear and accurate records related to counseling activities Maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in all interactions You'll be valued for your impact and dedication, and you'll be part of a school community focused on student growth.
