Job Description

Category Schools - Counselor Job Type Contract Step into a pivotal role supporting the academic and personal growth of students across several campuses as a school counselor. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a lasting difference by providing guidance and counseling services to elementary and middle school students. You will collaborate with dedicated faculty to foster a supportive learning environment and enable students to thrive socially and emotionally.

Desired Qualifications:

Valid LPC license in the state of Texas required Prior experience working in school settings, preferably with a mix of elementary and middle school students Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a caseload across multiple campuses Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for interacting with students, families, and school staff Compassionate, adaptable, and committed to helping children achieve their fullest potential

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual and small group counseling to students on a varied caseload (approx. 30 students across up to five campuses) Support students' emotional, social, behavioral, and academic needs Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to develop and implement effective strategies for student success Participate in meetings, consultations, and multidisciplinary teams as needed Deliver crisis intervention services and referral support as appropriate Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district guidelines and ethical standards Enjoy a flexible, part-time work schedule of 16 hours per week, giving you the ability to impact students' lives while balancing your own commitments.
