Job Description

Category Schools - Counselor Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students' well-being by working as a school counselor for a contract opportunity from August 12, 2025, through May 21, 2027. In a collaborative environment, you'll provide vital counseling services across both elementary and middle school levels, reaching approximately 30 students across five campuses. With a flexible schedule averaging 16 hours per week, this position is designed for professionals who excel at building trusting relationships and providing effective support to students with diverse needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in Texas Previous counseling experience in school settings preferred Comfort working with both elementary and middle school-aged children Ability to travel between campuses as needed Strong interpersonal and communication skills Organized, flexible, and able to manage a varied caseload
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individual and small-group counseling sessions to support academic, social, and emotional growth Identify student needs and develop tailored intervention strategies Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student well-being Document sessions and maintain accurate, confidential records per district and state regulations Serve as a resource for crisis intervention and student support services Participate in meetings as requested to discuss student progress and recommend resources This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive district, further your professional development, and positively influence student success.
