Job Description

Category Schools - Counselor Job Type Contract Make a real difference every day by supporting students and educators as a Behavior Intervention Specialist in a contract role near Princeton, TX. Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree strongly preferred Valid Texas teaching certificate with Special Education (SPED) endorsements Experience working in SPED, social work, counseling, or related student support services Preferred backgrounds: school counseling, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), psychology, or social work Knowledge of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor effective Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) for students requiring additional behavioral support Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families as part of ARD, IEP, RTI, and Section 504 meetings Provide guidance to classroom teams and assist with crisis intervention as needed Serve as a resource for positive behavioral strategies throughout the school community Full-time hours: 37.5 per week Starting pay of $30+ per hour, based on experience This position offers a unique opportunity to make meaningful contributions within a caring educational community.
