Qualifications and Experience:

Masters degree from a regionally accredited college or university Completion of a state-approved counselor preparation program Eligible for, or able to obtain, the required Virginia license or endorsement for school counselors Strong communication skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families Professionalism in maintaining confidentiality and accurate student records

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual, group, and classroom counseling in academic, career, and social-emotional areas Assess student needs and progress, identifying necessary supports or interventions Consult and coordinate with teachers, staff, and families to address student concerns Facilitate referrals to external support services as needed Uphold student confidentiality and maintain thorough documentation Support a safe, inclusive, and positive school climate This position offers a consistent full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week within a highly collaborative elementary environment.
