Youll play a crucial role in fostering communication and inclusion, ensuring that the student receives the individualized attention they deserve from 7:15am to 2:15pm each day.

Desired Qualifications:

Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Prior experience as a paraprofessional, especially in school settings Ability to work 1:1 with students, supporting academic and social development Familiarity with educational accommodations and inclusive practices Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff and students Adaptability and professionalism in a dynamic classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a 1:1 ASL interpreter and paraprofessional for a student during all school hours Facilitate seamless communication between the student, peers, and school staff Provide academic, behavioral, and social support according to the students needs Assist teachers with classroom management and lesson adaptations as needed Support the overall learning environment by promoting inclusion and engagement Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sensitivity to student needs This contract position offers you the chance to walk alongside a student as they achieve daily milestones in their educational journey.
