Job Developer/Job Coach

Job Description

Make a Difference Through Meaningful Employment Arizona Placement Concepts has helped individuals with disabilities develop workplace skills and achieve their employment goals for more than 17 years. We are seeking a dependable, patient, and motivated Job Coach / Job Developer to support high school graduates and adults with disabilities throughout the Tucson community. This position combines hands-on job coaching with employer outreach. You will help clients strengthen their workplace skills, build confidence, and connect with employment opportunities that match their interests and goals. Performance bonuses are available. What You'll DoJob Coaching Provide individualized coaching, supervision, and encouragement at community-based training and employment sites. Teach clients essential workplace skills, including attendance, communication, task completion, organization, and professional behavior. Observe and document client progress toward established employment goals. Adjust coaching strategies based on each client's abilities, learning style, and support needs. Communicate professionally with clients, families, employers, coworkers, and referral partners. Provide coverage at assigned training sites when staffing needs arise. Complete required reports and documentation accurately, professionally, and on time. Job Development Build and maintain relationships with businesses throughout the Tucson community. Identify employment opportunities that match clients' skills, interests, and vocational goals. Contact employers through phone calls, email, networking, and in-person outreach. Assist clients with applications, résumés, interview preparation, and employer follow-up. Support clients and employers throughout the placement and retention process. Track employer contacts, client progress, job leads, placements, and required follow-up activities. Required Qualifications Candidates MUST have a current Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and meet at least one of the following education and experience combinations: Associate degree in a related field and at least one year of full-time experience working with individuals with disabilities; Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least three years of full-time experience working with individuals with disabilities; or Master's degree in a related field and at least one year of full-time experience working with individuals with disabilities. Related fields may include rehabilitation counseling, psychology, sociology, education, social work, human services, or a comparable discipline. Additional Requirements Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to complete detailed documentation using professional grammar. Dependable, organized, patient, and comfortable working independently. Ability to travel between client and employer locations throughout Tucson. [Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance.] Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in vocational rehabilitation, supported employment, workforce development, special education, behavioral health, or case management. Experience building relationships with businesses or conducting employer outreach. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
