The Employer Partnership & Placement Specialist - MA is responsible for employment outcomes for Medical Assisting graduates. Develops employer relationships, generates job leads, and matches graduates to direct-hire opportunities. This role coordinates the placement process from outreach through hire. Maintains accurate, compliant employment records. Supports accreditation requirements, campus performance, and placement results.
Position will be based out of a Bay Area campus: Concord, Fremont, San Jose, or Hayward. Job DescriptionCarry out placement activities, including outreach and candidate matching, to meet graduate employment benchmarks.
Conduct employer outreach (calls, field visits, networking) to secure direct-hire opportunities.
Build and maintain employer partnerships that drive repeat hiring.
Generate job leads and job orders through outreach and community engagement.
Match graduates to positions based on employer needs and candidate readiness.
Manage the placement process from outreach through hire, including submissions, interviews, offers, and employment verification.
Coach graduates on resumes, interviews, and job search to improve placement outcomes.
Partners with campus teams to align graduate pipelines, hiring needs, and placement barriers.
Support externship-to-hire conversions by aligning employer demand with graduate availability.
Track market trends and placement results to adjust strategy and improve performance.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of outreach, activity, and verified outcomes.
Representing the college with employers, partners, and at workforce events.
Report pipeline activity, employer development, and placement progress to leadership.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Pay RangeThe annual pay range for this position is $32.00 (minimum), $34.00 (midpoint), and $36.00 (maximum).•Typical hiring range is between the minimum and midpoint of the above pay range. Actual starting base pay may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, location and budget.
QualificationsBachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in staffing, recruiting, business development, career services, or a related field; experience in high-volume, results-driven environments.
Demonstrated success in lead generation, employer relationship development, and candidate placement.
Strong business development, cold outreach, and relationship management skills.
Effective communication, organization, and follow-up skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office required; experience with PowerBI, CampusVue/CampusNexus, ATS, or CRM systems preferred.
Knowledge of healthcare hiring or allied health environments and familiarity with employment reporting/compliance preferred.
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current insurance required.
