Job Summary We are seeking enthusiastic, high-energy, and adaptable staff to thrive in our fast-paced environment at Chances ADP. Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing dedicated support to individuals with IDD, primarily assisting them with toileting, eating, and other activities of daily living (ADLs) . You'll bring a positive and energetic approach to your work, closely implementing individualized support plans, promoting independence, and facilitating active social engagement, all while managing a dynamic and changing daily schedule. Responsibilities Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with IDD in accordance with their individualized support plans, maintaining a high level of engagement in a fast-paced setting. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and transportation, with a focus on promoting independence and active participation, while adapting to sudden schedule changes. Facilitate social engagement and participation in dynamic community-based activities. Implement behavior support plans and promote positive behavior management techniques, utilizing a proactive and energetic approach in a fast-paced environment. Provide pre-employment training and support, including resume building, interview skills, and workplace etiquette, with a focus on motivating and inspiring individuals, while managing multiple tasks and priorities. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of individual progress and activities. Collaborate with team members, families, and other professionals to ensure coordinated care. Foster a safe, supportive, and high-energy inclusive environment. Transport individuals to and from activities as needed. Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred). Experience working with individuals with IDD (preferred). High level of energy and enthusiasm. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Knowledge of behavior management techniques and person-centered planning. First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).
