Job Description

We are seeking a thoughtful, enthusiastic Developmental Interventionist to support peer group programs for youth ages 3-21, with a focus on our largest population of teens aged 13-18. This entry-level role provides an exciting opportunity to help participants grow in areas of creativity, self-expression, independence, and community-building, especially through engaging group sessions. As a Developmental Interventionist, you will work alongside experienced clinicians to facilitate group programming that supports social-emotional development and fosters authentic peer relationships. This is a great fit for someone interested in neurodiversity-affirming care, adolescent development, and creative, strengths-based approaches. The pay for this position is $21 per hour. Pay is not dependent on billable hours. Additional stipends may be possible for work during evening hours (after 6 PM) and Saturdays. This is a part time position, 25 hours per week, to start, with the opportunity to grow to full time hours. Key Responsibilities Provide individualized and group support to youth, with an emphasis on teen group facilitation. Help participants connect with others and express themselves through play, projects, and discussion. Assist with group planning and implementation that reflects participants' interests, developmental levels, and communication styles. Build strong, respectful relationships with participants and their families. Support safe, inclusive environments where every participant feels seen, valued, and empowered. Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing training to reflect and grow in your practice. Maintain consistent and accurate session documentation in a timely manner. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required, in a related field preferred (e.g., Child Development, Psychology, Education, Social Work). Experience working with youth and/or individuals with developmental differences is highly preferred. A flexible, collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills. Commitment to PCDA's values of inclusion, family partnership, and relationship-based care. Availability for weekday afternoon/evening and some Saturday hours. Must complete background check
Physical Requirements:
Physical demands include the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, ability to observe, move, adjust, and perceive environmental demands. Individuals require sufficient physical ability to move without restriction, including, but not limited to bending, twisting, ability to sit on the floor, standing, walking, running, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
