Job Description
Hope Services, a mission-driven non-profit serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Silicon Valley and the Bay Area, is seeking a Job Coach. In this role, you will support adults with developmental disabilities to obtain and maintain meaningful community employment. Responsibilities include providing one-on-one and group job coaching, teaching job skills and workplace behavior, collaborating with employers, documenting progress, and advocating for inclusive work environments. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one and group job coaching to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community and workplace settings Assess client strengths, interests, and support needs to develop individualized employment plans Train clients in job tasks, workplace expectations, communication, and appropriate social behaviors Build and maintain relationships with employers to support successful job placement and retention Monitor client progress, document services, and prepare timely reports and case notes Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, families, and external agencies to coordinate services Advocate for client workplace accommodations and inclusive employment practices Provide on-the-job problem solving, coaching, and crisis intervention as needed Facilitate job readiness workshops, interview preparation, and soft skills training Participate in ongoing training, quality improvement, and agency meetings Required Skills Job coaching and task analysis Vocational assessment and individualized planning Documentation and case note writing Behavior management and de-escalation Employer outreach and relationship building Workplace accommodations and ADA awareness Group facilitation and training delivery Time management and caseload organization Basic computer and case management software skills Communication and interpersonal skills
